SHAPITO SHOW [2011] ▀ ART-HOUSE FOR MASSES?

I almost never do reviews of Russian movies, but this one should be an exception.

After watching Shapito Show i was quite surprised to see how much efforts were invested.
[Sergey Loban] is an author of very experimental [Dust] , which was released previously to Shapito Show.
Shapito brings more artistic value and a lot of joy to watch, because of it’s own unpredictability of events.
Film consist of four stories, which are happening at the same time and divided into two parts for better watching experience.

[Love & Friendship] and [Respect & Collaboration] .
Such an opposite things. Don’t they? Do they have ability to coexist with each other?

I don’t want to describe the plot of the movie, because it’ll spoil the whole controversial appeal of it.
The only thing I have to say that movie is a diverse mixture of drama, comedy and musical, diluted with some art-house elements.

In addition to that we have amazing soundtrack from “one-film group” called [Karamazov Twins]
paired with suspense-horror [David Lynch] -like embeddings.
Such methods easily shape solid and maintain proper atmosphere during the whole movie.

Famous [Pyotr Mamonov] , well-known by [Taxi-Blues] movie, was made rigorous performance in Shapito Show also.
