I am glad that in this historical video there is no mention of such things as windows 10/11, as they surely did not bring anything new to the world of ergonomics, but rather on the contrary worsened it by a substantinal margin.

Most of you are probably thinking why there are no posts for such a long time. I was quite overloaded with real life events. Anyways, here’s a bunch of atmospheric retrowave tracks for you.No junk, no fluff, only solid stuff. As always.

Forget about last two [or so] seasons, because they are complete boredom!
As for me, i think that [YOUNG SHELDON]
is a worthy prequel to [Big Bang TV-series]
. Great warm analog atmosphere of 80s.Watched it excitedly in one gulp. A bit too pop, with rare deterioration in scenario quality but very solid in terms of actor performance and overall design. If you have bad mood for some reason this thing will fix you up at no time.
Some 80’ goodness right in the end of the endless week.

As you may already know golden age of personal computing happened somewhere around 80s and 90s. Time when new computer model was released almost every week or so. No standardization at all, everybody were doing exactly what they wanted without any restrictions.

As you may already know i like:
[Black humour]
[Zombie comedy slashers]
[Beavis & Butt-head ]
cartoon Finnish movies [about plain people]
Quite strange concoction? But who really cares? Here is a list of more random films, which are worth to watch. From my point of view of course.
[Home Alone 1]
/ [Home Alone 2: Lost In New York]
[Terminator 1]
/ [Terminator 2]
[Evil Dead 1]
/ [Evil Dead 2]
/ [Evil Dead 3: Army Of Darkness]
[Tucker & Dale vs Evil]
/ [Wild Tales]
[Chronos]
/ [Baraka]
/ [Samsara]
[Office Space]
/ [Human Traffic]
/ [It Crowd]
/ [Idiocracy]
[Johnny Mnemonic]
/ [Nirvana]
/ [Hackers]
/ [Speed]
[Falling Down]
/ [Taxi Blues]
/ [Taxi Driver]
[The Shawshank Redemption]
Films that i like to watch in not so distant future:
Despite the widespread opinion regarding [Seagal’s]
sanity and his tendency to star in a very low budget trash movies i like couple of his flicks.
[Hard To Kill]
► one of his fist appearances on the screen, a little bit excessively touching, but pretty neat [Under Siege 1]
► simply the best movie to date [Under Siege 2: Dark Territory]
► not so good as first part, but definitely worth to watch HARD TO KILL UNDER SIEGE 1 UNDER SIEGE 2: DARK TERRITORY SPECIAL CATEGORY:
Need a really gooood detective movie? Here is one: [Zodiac]
. No weak acting. No dumb computer visuals. Very long, detailed, quite linear, but solid. Film is watched without any interruptions in one single breath.

I was completely floored by quality of movie atmosphere and yeah, this is true [retro-future-cyberpunk show]
of the 80s, without any strained interpretations.
Pumping soundtrack, marvelous neon illumination with dramatic light beams, excellent design rise quality of the picture to the point where we can safely say “this is classic!”. Glorious CRT monitors, bulky industrial keyboards, cool computer graphics made on fancy new [Amiga]
computers. FILM WAS AVAILABLE IN SUPERB 30 FPS [EAT THIS!

If you like pixel art quests and [cyberpunk]
atmosphere here is a good suggestion: [Technobabylon]
. Game is published by Wadjet Eye Games previously known for brilliant [Gemini Rue]
. In brief: detailed dialogue lines, immersive atmosphere, cool design aesthetics.
Music composer is Nathan Allen Pinard, who is also known for immersive soundtrack for Gemini Rue. So you won’t be disappointed in terms of musical vibes. I think that 50% of game’s atmospere comes from music.
[Solaris]
is the best soviet Sci-Fi movie produced by [Andei Tarkovsky]
. It often counts as direct answer to beautiful and timeless [2001: A Space Odyssey]
by [Stanley Kubrick]
. Although Solaris had far less budget it surely provides plenty of food to the grey matter. Moreover, movie goes even deeper in philosophical aspects than Space Odyssey. So, the film is for those of you who like to think things over.

I have pretty strong nostalgia regarding vintage light effects.
Vibrant blast of light beams: such scheme was very common during 80s days.
I don’t understand why movie industry almost abandoned it in favor of generic non-atmospheric CGI illumination. Just check these light rays out!

To dilute generic routine i’ve decided to show up some random art from my favourite cartoons of the past.
Hope that you’ll enjoy and maybe recognize some of them!

This is a German [short film from 2000]
about the first day of Klaus’s work as a forklift driver. The film is a parody of work safety films from the 1980s.
The film was written and directed by Stefan Prehn and Jorg Wagner and stars Konstantin Graudus as the title role of Klaus. The narration was provided by Egon Hoegen, who was known in Germany for narrating road safety films.
[Miami Vice]
….what can i say? I don’t know why it has status of cult tv series. Plot and acting are very plain and sometimes ridiculously childish.
One thing which i know for sure is that film demonstrates pretty good music selection for the era. We can hear not only generic stuff like pop and rock, but more underground things like techno, funk and reggae, which are also here.
My first horror film ever. Watched it as a child. Can’t sleep all night long. [IMDB link]
