HOW TO GET RID OF THE ERROR 1068 WHILE STARTING WLAN AUTOCONFIG SERVICE
It just happens that my integrated lan card on X670 motherboard is slowly dying,
saying so because sometimes it is disappearing and becomes visible only after a complete computer shutdown,
waiting for about 10 minutes and then after restart everything begins to work fine.
Issue showcased itself in Windows 7 and Windows 10.
Currently i don’t have any spare money to replace motherboard so i went for a cheap solution of purchasing Dlink USB WiFi dongle,
but when i installed it i run into a problem of not being able to launch WLAN AutoConfig service [Wlansvc],
which is responsible for WiFi connections. System reported with a error:
Windows could not start WLAN AutoConfig service on Local Computer
Error 1068: The dependency service or group failed to start
Ultimately i come up with a quite tricky solution for the problem, after struggling to resolve it for a couple of hours.
Go to registry and edit appointed data.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SYSTEM > CurrentControlSet > Services > Dhcp > DependOnService
Remove NSI and Tdx values from DependOnService key.
You will have only Adf as a value.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SYSTEM > CurrentControlSet > Services > Eaphost > DependOnService
Remove NSI and RPCSS and KeyIso values from DependOnService key.
In the end you will end up with nothing.
Do not even ask me what the heck this means, in my case the problem was resolved. Wish you luck with your strugglings.
