Brotherhood of the Wolf [2001] ▀ a Golden Award for Best Costume Design

Surprisingly, [Brotherhood of the Wolf] is loosely based on [a true story] . While the plot is fairly simple and occasionally incoherent, the film’s true value lies in its gorgeous recreation of an authentic, vintage French atmosphere. If I’m not mistaken, the film was even awarded by a golden award for best costume design back in the day. And YES it contains martial arts, for some surprising reason!
