Palit GeForce 3050 Kalmx 6Gb ▀ The Fastest Passively Cooled GPU For Windows 7/8
Ok, here is a super fast blip review of the Palit 3050 KalmX 6Gb video card.
I decided to purchase this card, just to have a spare on the shelf if for some reason my 3090Ti will freak out in the future.
Previously i already wrote about [the most fastest passively cooled GPU]
, but now we have a new champion.
The upgrade is not huge, but it is worth it in the end of the day.

As for performance, here is a rough comparison, just to see direction where we are going.

As you can see, it is a 30% bump over 1650, i’d say it is a good thing.
If we compare it retroactively with hi-powered beasts of the past that coasted hefty amounts of US dollars back then.
So, 3050 is around 15% faster than GTX 780Ti from 2013 [250W] and around 20% faster than 12Gb Titan Z from 2014 [375W].
▒ CONCLUSION ▒
So, all-in-all 3050 board is a neat upgrade over the predecessor and worth of trying.
Moreover, it is the fastest passively cooled Windows 7/8 compatible GPU on the market.
The main field of activity for this card in my case will be Windows 7/8 desktop environment,
in-browser WebGL rendering, some lightweight video editing in Vegas Pro 21/22,
processing images in Affinity Photo and various 2D GUI workloads
in applications like Renoise tracker and that is pretty much it.
I’m also planning to put nice silent Noctua fan over it for even better heat dissipation.
