As a long-term user of Android OS i stacked up the most irksome peculiarities. They have been with us for ages, since version 1.0 to be exact. messed up separation between internal and external storage, which is not clear to a generic windows user, files are hard to find, applications save data randomly either on internal or external storage, logic pattern is definitely broken here incoherent and unclear notification system, with poor organization of priorities absence of transparent file handling, i am talking about file extension-application matching, there is no convenient tools to manage this task And it looks like google will never fix above mentioned facts.

No illusions here, because it is a pretty transparent question and you don’t have to be an overwhelmingly smart person to understand it. It looks like we have reached the very last driver for the Nvidia 3XXX series of graphics cards. They promised that the final revision of the driver will see the light of day in late September. As of early October, the latest version of the driver is [v475.14] , released on July 9. But I have a feeling that Nvidia will release another very final version later on, if this is true I’ll update post accordingly.

Somewhere in the previous posts i have already done [small rant] regarding the desired specification of modern smartphone. After fiddling around with the latest [Oppo Find X6 Pro] aka the best modern cameraphone, i come to a conclusion with myself on how the smartphone specification of my dreams should look like. Consider this as a revisited version of the previous document. And yeah, you will surely see the Oppo review in a while when i free myself up from the daily routine.

Currently we all know that [Ryzen 7950x] and more importantly [Threadripper 7000] series are working just fine in Windows 7 environment. Upcoming Ryzen 9950x confirmed to work already, because it is using the same socket [mechanically and electronically]. And now for even better news: [AM5 socket will be supported at least until 2027] , which means that Ryzen 10950x will work without any hassles also. So, it looks like the Threadripper 7995wx and Ryzen 10950x will be the last chips to work properly on the Windows 7 platform in the worst case scenario.

I’m quite satisfied with performance of my current workstation. [44-thread Broadwell] paired with 64Gb of RAM, fast NVME and [24Gb EVGA 3090Ti] shape solid desktop tool. However i’m planning distant upgrade to achieve maximum speed in Windows 7 environment. Just to mark checkbox that it is possible. In 2021 i already tried out modern platform based [around x570 in conjunction with Ryzen 5950X] . System worked without any problems, thanks to modern [CanonKong Windows 7 drivers] .

Sufficient amount of small bloggers/vloggers complain about [shadow-banning problem] on large platforms lke yt, tik-tok an so on. Some of them are trying to investigate the root cause of the issue, some of them just give up, even such legends as [High Treason] . Despite the fact that my yt channel was deleted without any explanations a couple of years ago and yes i run into shadow ban issue on tik-tok, when suddenly all your >200 people auditory just stop leaving comments, drop any activities for a week or so and view counters are showing zero i just don’t think that discussed thing is so important in the end of the day.

Surfing through meaningless tier lists on YT dedicated to various Unix graphical user interfaces by home-made experts without even showing them in a proper way and doin’ subjective ratings, i’ve stumbled upon on “obsolete” [CDE] environment and was interested in it’s 90’ish looks, despite the fact that “expert” narrated that it is in a “yuck” category and not worth even touching. Here i’m talking about Linux, windows 10/11 machines [however i highly doubt that win10/11 users will be interested in this website]. Recently i had [some frustrations] with Manjaro Linux. I often get asked regarding Windows 7 safety especially in 2023. "Is it safe to use such old operating system?" "What about security?" "How about modern viruses?" .... …. and many other similar questions. Funny thing that people who are asking about security don’t give a damn about privacy. Yeah, that’s quite different definitions for sure, but from my point of view they always come together hand in hand. The main and the most important security police officer is your head.

Looking back to previous couple of years and taking into perspective generic non-computer life it is quite amazing what people are capable of. I’m talking about amount of rave and chaotic mess they can produce. Artificial difficulties, overcomplicated situations, meaningless and moronic wars, you name it. Taking into account above mentioned things it’s really easy to handle such “problem” as running Windows 7 in modern age. Despite the fact that there are plenty of people around who are mumbling about Windows 7 obsolescense and bla-bla-bla.

UPDATED ON: 2023-08-23 Despite [previous statement] regarding Windows 7 EOL status after version 115 current nightly alpha binary [v117] works just fine. Installer threw generic mambo-jambo that program can’t work in Windows 7 environment and then artificially blocks installation. How generic & dumb. Workaround is just unzip exe-package with [7-zip] and execute browser from unpacked Core folder. FIREFOX 117 ABOUT WINDOW Right after installation software immediately begins to whine about inability to update.
