Previously i was quite satisfied with the [iBasso DX240]
/ [FiiO FA9]
conjunction. But after some evening conversations with [DeepSeek]
and [Qwen]
, I decided to purchase the [FiiO FA19]
. The main problem is that I did not stop there and decided to go completely crazy and dive into the [HiBy R8 II]
/ [Empire Ears Odin]
configuration.
Now to the main essence of things.
FiiO FA7 has lots of bass and quite lush, mushy mids and trebles.
My claims to previously owned cables were excessive fragility and the fact that they are prone to physical damage too much. Although that i’m using my hardware with care, wire breakage happens quite often. So i decided to go a bit overkill in terms of elimination of this nasty problem.
[Dunu Hulk Pro]
is a confirmation of my words. It’s a top of the line copper-based wire of Dunu branding.

After a year of extensive testing i find out that [Shanling M6]
has some flaws, which won’t fit my requirements. It is an excellent 2-way DAC DAP in terms of sound quality. All my claims have purely ergonomic nature: Dim display, big form factor [at least from my point of view], weak battery life.
These factors forced me to look at [Ibasso DX240]
player. Player has single-way desktop grade 32bit/768Khz/DSD512 enabled DAC [ES9038Pro]
[pdf specs], very serious elements banding, nice bright Sharp screen and big battery.
[Previously]
i already wrote about Chinese audio manufacturers and their quality products. Till today i used quad driver FiiO FA7
earphones powered by my trusty cameraphone [Nokia PureView 808]
.
After some not so long considerations i’ve decided to try out something new with bigger puch and almost randomy selected [Shanling M6]
DAP paired with [FiiO FA9]
6-driver IEMs. I know that using Nokia 808 was quite limiting factor for quad driver earphones like FiiO FA7.
Just a quick note to share high-quality Android audio player with all of you. Software is developed for hi-res hardware digital audio players like FiiO, Shanling, iBasso. The most important feature is bit-perfect OS independent decoding and audio processing.
Speaking about bright sides of application: precise audio reproduction, loads of professional tools.
However, there is one notable downside: user interface and ergonomics are very confusing to say the least.
