[Miami Vice] ….what can i say? I don’t know why it has status of cult tv series. Plot and acting are very plain and sometimes ridiculously childish. One thing which i know for sure is that film demonstrates pretty good music selection for the era. We can hear not only generic stuff like pop and rock, but more underground things like techno, funk and reggae, which are also here.

Scratchy narration makes movie stylish only at the very beginning of the [show] , but heading towards to the end it transforms picture into incoherent overcomplicated mess. Pretty neat plot spoiled by overwhelming amount of flashbacks and useless characters with detailed description of their past lifes.
Scarce amount of backdrop music. Last season should be banned.

It's been a while Finally i'm back I've lost some markdown sources of the blog, so pretty much everything from May 2022 was restored from scratch Hope that this will not happen again [British masterpiece] that shows corruption and stupidness of top-end bureaucrats, repressing KGB actions and lying propaganda statistics. [Big Bang Theory] shows how to do comedy in a proper way. Excellent sitcom. Story line holds up pretty well. Overall scenario and actor cues are just brilliant. Sense of humor is universal with glimpses of geek related stuff. Main disadvantage is permanent backdrop laugh. I wonder is there any chance to get version without “wonderful” pointer when to laugh and when not? One more downside that I’ve noticed: complete absence of music.

After [atrocious Walking Dead] run into [bloody brilliant Spartacus] . Produced by [Sam Raimi] , the same guy who created classic Evil Dead series. Movie brings excellent story line with very solid acting. Ultra atmospheric [soundtrack by Joseph LoDuca] and overall design aestetics are also present. Legendary and ridiculously underrated TV-series, aesthetics of motion picture far exceeds most of TV-series and enters area of quality full-length movie. Spartacus is a real drama, showing what is a “humanity” in a nutshell.

Just watched 9.5 out of 11 episodes of this [zombie soap opera] . Oh, my! What a waste! Lil’ breakdown of main key features: interesting story-line at the beginning, but rapidly degrading into repeating marasmic rave [end of episode 8 is a peak of delirium] frequent meaningless dialogs diluted by zombie cameos low quality acting is a frequent thing also [hi goes out to captain Karl, boy with dumb sheriff hat permanently glued directly to his head, later on was replaced by little girl with the same hat] after disappearance of Rick [main character], series completely lost meaning of existence Highly encourage you not to repeat my mistake and do something useful instead of wasting time on this “masterpiece”!

This is a story of famous Colombian drug lord, who made his way from complete poverty to the richest man of the world. [Shawshank Redemption] The story about achieving an aim. Almost everybody have such thing in mind. Glory, fame, family, wealth, new toy - whatever. Despite the fact that i prefer art house movies to mainstream production i’m counting this piece of Hollywood as really good one. Everything in film is well ballanced. Actors, scenario, sountrack. [Aki Kaurismaki] is Finnish film director who makes minimalistic’n’ambientish movies about life of plain folks. Some people describe Aki’s films like «depressive», but I’m not agree on such superficial conclusion. I consider his art as a very neat backdrop for inner thinking and self-analysis. Most of the characters are quite silent, but despite that fact their feelings are 100% understandable without any words. I think that Aki’s movies represent the brief essence of entire life and they teach us about many aspects of life.

Movie is presented as science-fiction comedy, but it looks like that we have everything in reality already. I’m not much into Hollywood movies, but when essense of film satire is based upon real life i can’t just skip it. Imagery by spacedrone808
