[TaleSpin [1990-1991]] One of the best kid cartoons. Hand drawing is a masterpiece. It’s even better than in [Darkwing Duck] ! Interesting storyline, detailed backdrops and very neat animation. Your kid must not miss it!

[Shawshank Redemption] The story about achieving an aim. Almost everybody have such thing in mind. Glory, fame, family, wealth, new toy - whatever. Despite the fact that i prefer art house movies to mainstream production i’m counting this piece of Hollywood as really good one. Everything in film is well ballanced. Actors, scenario, sountrack. And yeah, emotional punch is pretty tremendous to say the least.

[Aki Kaurismaki] is Finnish film director who makes minimalistic’n’ambientish movies about life of plain folks. Some people describe Aki’s films like «depressive», but I’m not agree on such superficial conclusion. I consider his art as a very neat backdrop for inner thinking and self-analysis. Most of the characters are quite silent, but despite that fact their feelings are 100% understandable without any words. I think that Aki’s movies represent the brief essence of entire life and they teach us about many aspects of life.

Movie is presented as science-fiction comedy, but it looks like that we have everything in reality already. I’m not much into Hollywood movies, but when essense of film satire is based upon real life i can’t just skip it.

Blade Runner animation is made by me. Brilliant cyberpunk movie with excellent design and atmosphere. [Blade Runner [1982]] [Blade Runner 2049 [2017]]

Previously I’ve [mentioned about best non-verbal movies] , but today it is a cartoon. Japan & France united to produce this hand-drawn masterpiece. [Red Turtle] is a deep immersion into problems of human existence. Maybe it is even represents concentrated essence of life.

[Nirvana] is a classic cyberpunk movie with grunge’n’trashy aesthetics of 90s. Despite the fact that film is low budget it delivers agreeable analogue warmth. Soundtrack is just gorgeous and match the topic to every last bit of it.

I almost sure that you know [this short movie] , but anyways I’d like to digest it. The movie plot is pretty childish, but I like whole aesthetics of 80s-90s. Oh, those green terminals.. ░▒▓█ GLITCHY NEON █▓▒░ and neon purple-pink color palette… NOTE: It looks like [KungFury 2 is in production]

Very interesting film glued from short stories, which are not unrelated to each other. Old European quality. Things [like this one] never produced anymore.

UPDATED ON: 2023-12-13 [Rick & Morty] is for sure deserved honorable title of one of the most coolest findings in long-run cartoon category. Seasons 1-3 are excellent, every last episode is jaw-dropping. As for seasons 4-5-6-7… Despite the fact that authors demonstrate progress in graphics quality, quality of story-line begins to decline, overall concept shows up noticeable character overacting. Authors completely overdo ethics here and there in the race to amuse watcher.

Previously I posted information only on generic movies, but here is something really unusual. How about movie without any words? Sounds very aesthetic to me. [Rock Fricke] is for sure the best non-verbal movie director. His films bring inspiration to live and do things. [CHRONOS [1985]] [BARAKA [1992]] [SAMSARA [2011]]

In [previous post] I said that there is a problem with quality black humor comedies. Here you go, a good one. [Norwegian thriller] with element of black humor, which blow my mind away. Don’t want to describe anything, just watch it! In terms of humor movie has some similarities with [Riders of Justice] .

One of the funniest “recent” American horror-comedy. In terms of humor quality it is almost on the same level with [Evil Dead] , but aesthetics is more neat in [Sam Raimi] franchise. 2010 IS RECENT? ARE YOU NUTS? Yeah, almost no quality black humor trash till today. The wood chipper moment is for sure is the most expressive culmination of in movie humor. SO, ENJOY! Scene with a cop should be awarded with prize for terrific acting!

Looking at tiktok I could definitely say that we finally reached [that level of stupidity] . Thanks to Judge for 100% correct future prediction and of course for such a movie-gem! I could even suggest tiktok to shorten clips length to 5 seconds. Pretty sure that it will be sufficient for children of the gen Z.
